Theft of overcoat at store in Parade, Leamington Spa.

Warwickshire Police are appealing to the local community for information following an incident of theft of an overcoat at a store in the Parade, Leamington Spa.

This occurred at 13:40 on 17/09/2019.

A male entered the store and informed staff he was homeless. He tried on a coat, value £199.99, and then rolled it up and put it into a Sainsbury’s carrier bag. Approached by staff, he walked out.

He is described as average height and build, and scruffy. His hair was dark.

Police are currently examining CCTV footage.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Warwickshire police on 101, quoting incident number 212 on 17/09/2019.
