Theft from New Houses

Please be aware of the following incident.

Incident number 0075 of 08/10/2018

Sometime over the weekend of 6th-7th October three new build houses on the Belway development on Harbury Lane, Warwick were broken into by breaking the hinges on rear windows. The properties are not yet occupied. Thieves stole 3 boilers to the value of £1000. This is the second time that this type of theft has occurred on this development.

Business Burglary, Warwick

Please be aware of the following incident.

Incident number 0059 of 08/10/2018

A commercial property on Rigby Close, Heathcote Industrial Estate, Warwick was broken into via the back door. The building had been ransacked and 15 bicycles were stolen.

Theft from vehicles, Leek Wootton

Please be aware of the following incidents.

Incident number 0318 of 06/10/2018

At the Warwickshire Country Club, Leek Wootton and between the hours of 1300 -1800 offenders forced the rear door lock of a Vauxhall Vivaro van to gain entry. A large quantity of power tools and two holdalls containing clothes and shoes were taken.

Incident number 0244 of 07/10/2018

On the same day 06/10/2018 and between the hours of 0955 -1730 at the above premises a Citroen van was also broken into. There was no sign of a forced entry.

Break in at Cricket Club on Bilton Lane, Long Lawford

Sometime over the last week the cricket club on Bilton Lane, Long Lawford has been broken into.  Offenders have used a grinder in the commission of this offence to cut off padlocks and a Westfield Mower and scarifier have been stolen.

What motorists can do to prevent vehicle crime:

•Never leave anything on show and remove any valuables from your vehicle.
•Always lock your car and fully close windows and sunroof.
•Keep your keyless entry key in a safe place at home and check that it is out of range of your vehicle.
•Never leave your car with the engine running or key in the ignition.
•Park in well-lit areas or secure car parks.

Business Burglaries – Hatton and Norton Lindsey

Please be aware of the following incidents.

Incident number 0152 of 20/09/2018. At sometime between the hours of 1700 on Tuesday 25th September and 0800 on Thursday 27th September in Station Road, Hatton a shipping container at the front of the property and used as a store was broken into. Offenders cropped the padlock off and stole 3 bags of hand tools, a Makita combi and Dewalt combi, a Dewalt SDS – all cordless models. Batteries and a charger were also taken plus an Evolution chop saw.

Incident number 0152 of 01/10/2018.  Between the hours of 0900 on the 30th September and 0930 on the 1st October offenders entered an insecure barn on a farm in Norton Lindsey.

The thieves made off with a khaki Kawasaki 360 kvf off road quad bike stolen without keys.

A vehicle was seen in the area acting suspiciously at around the time.

Clifford Chambers Business Park, South Warwickshire

Clifford Chambers Business Park, Industrial Units Targeted Overnight
In the early hours of Friday the 21st September, unknown offenders have targeted a number of small industrial units. They have stolen a trailer, a bicycle and a number of tools.
