Rural Shop Burglaries – West of Warwick

Please be aware that there have been two burglaries involving retail premises in villages to the west of Warwick this week. The details are as follows:

At approximately 0230hrs on Tuesday 9 October 2018 offenders forced the front shutters and doors of Shrewley Stores, Shrewley Village. After tampering with CCTV the offenders stole a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol before making off in a motor vehicle towards Hatton.

This is Incident 18 of 9 October 2018

At approximately 0230hrs on Friday 12 October 2018 four male offenders in dark clothing forced entry to the Newsagents Shop at Old Warwick Road, Lapworth. The door frame and metal security bars were damaged as well as the security CCTV being interfered with. Once inside the offenders stole a quantity of cigarettes and confectionery together with the CCTV DVD machine. The offenders made off in black Mercedes saloon.
